Operations Manager - Minerals Processing

Our client is a global engineering company which designs, manufactures, commissions and services, process engineering and turnkey plant equipment around the world. They generate annual revenues of around $200 million and service a broad range of process industries, including aluminum, coal, minerals, nickel, oil and gas, petrochemical, power, steel and sugar.

They are seeking an Operations Manager for the Minerals Processing division who would be coordinating all projects activities such as spares, procurement and services with the various managers responsible for construction, installation and commissioning of actual work. This entails being responsible for the projects in terms of time, cost, design, quality by securing timely status reports to ensure client requirements are met as per the original scope.  Products range includes mining filtration equipment, furnaces, special purpose alloys, evaporators, crystallizers, heat exchangers and similar skid type equipment used by the mining, petrochemical and oil & gas industry.


The Operations Manager will report directly to the Divisional Manager of Minerals Processing division and have Project, Spare and Services Manager in turn reporting in to this role.  Previous experience in the mining, petrochemical, engineering consultancy or oil & gas industry at a similar level is required. The successful applicant will manage & interact with a highly motivated team of project managers, commissioning engineers, and service personnel located around the world.
 
They are seeking a highly capable and experienced individual with an exceptional track record in project delivery. Candidates who have a proven track record of performance in the above industry/ product areas are encouraged to apply. Tertiary, or equivalent qualifications, in mechanical/chemical engineering are required.
