About the Role: Our client is currently seeking high caliber Cost Manager for major resources projects in Western Australia. The successful Cost Manager will be based in Perth and will have responsibility across commercial functions to ensure that the project is commercially successful. Duties will include but not be limited to the following: 
 

• Measuring and describing the work including the preparation of tender documentation and negotiation with contractors
• Detailed budgets and cost plans
• Preparing and interpreting turnover / cash flow projections and profit / loss forecasts
• Undertaking the valuing of variations and potential variations
• Financial control
• Preparation and agreement of final accounts
• This role would ideally suit an experienced Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor who is seeking more diversity or challenge in their role. 

 
About the Benefits / Allowances: Our client believes in motivating and developing its staff with great working conditions, an attractive remuneration package and a wonderful lifestyle opportunity. For this particular role the salary on offer will be negotiable at $90,000 - $120,000 + super.  
 
Requirements: The successful applicant will be extremely motivated and be someone who wants to work with the best. Our client needs enthusiastic, organized, confident and inspired individuals who enjoy developing, communicating and sharing ideas. The following criteria also apply to this role: 
 

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
• Extensive experience in managing significant projects for a major contractor
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
• Resources project experience  
• Extremely high levels of business acumen and commercial knowledge
• Excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to lead and inspire
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels
• Demonstrated strategic planning ability
