The opportunity has arrived for a Brisbane based HSE Senior Manager to join a leading resource business, with specific focus in the gas industry, primarily the Coal Seam Gas sector. This organisation has had a significant growth in the industry and have successfully implemented international relations and delivered lucrative projects within this sector.  The reason for their success is the quality and safety that they implement into the projects - they hold this as a core value and believe in the work and commitment to clients.
 
 
The Role
Due to their continual success they are looking to appoint a manager to develop and lead safety initiatives for the business, consistent with policies, systems and procedures in place with the company. The successful person will be able to manage this function from a corporate view of the business and have a number of staff reporting into them and liaising with the principals of the projects to see successful delivery of their projects.
 
Safety will be the primary responsibility; you will also be contributing to other related areas, including risk management, quality, project systems and delivery.
 
 
Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience working in the HSE sector on similar projects
• Good communication skills to liaise with senior safety, risk and business personnel
• Implementation skills for new policies
• Promoting the safety culture within the organisation
• Identify training needs for the organisation
• Identify auditing needs and hazardous identification needs.
• Good report writing skills
• Understanding of the Australian standards and legislation
