Our client is requiring the expertise of an experienced Logistics Manager to provide leadership to the Logistics teams. Through a structured management approach supported by my clients systems and procedures you will provide feedback, leadership and direction to the Logistics teams ensuring agreed levels of services are not only met but exceeded. My client is a customer service driven organisation that is results orientated with a high focus on exceeding its customer’s expectations on time and within budget.
Being a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Manager you will ensure that the Logistics teams are operating at optimum levels for internal and external key stakeholders.
The Logistic Manager is responsible for a wide range of machinery, buildings, a fleet of vehicles in excess of 280 sedan, 4WD utes, trucks, tools and fixed and mobile plant equipment across QLD and NSW locations.
Key Responsibilities – Logistics
- optimising Logistics systems to ensure timely delivery of all assets and materials to projects within the Mining and Maintenance and Construction and Manufacturing divisions.
- ensuring timely delivery and return of assets to Mackay
- budgeting materials for projects and assets to ensure cost recovery is optimised
- effective and storage facilities for quick and timely turn around for assets and next project allocation.

An understanding of the plant and equipment utilised in the mining maintenance and construction industry.
An understanding of building maintenance and construction processes.
Awareness of health, safety, environmental, human resource and industrial relations requirements and issues.
High competency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrated customer service skills for projects, including client liaison and reporting.
Ability to work efficiently both unsupervised and within a team environment.
Previous exposure within a fast moving environment with a continuous improvement culture.
Significant experience in the management of projects and the implementation of change.
