Drilling Contract Manager

Permanent / Full Time, Papua New Guinea, Mining

Our client is a strong leader in the provision of mineral exploration and has over 40 years experience in the Asian Pacific Region.


With long term contracts with some of the biggest mining companies in the region, we are now seeking a further two Drilling Contract Managers to join their growing team.


Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day drilling activities of the company as well as:

• Liaising with the client representative to achieve project requirements;
• Formulating strategies to achieve Company goals and targets;
• Co-ordination of all project activities;
• Preparing safe work procedures and ensuring compliance with same; and
• Training and guidance of national personnel.
• The successful applicants will have an extensive background in diamond core drilling experience with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.  Experience in geotechnical drilling would also be advantageous.  Completion of Certificate III or IV in Drilling is desirable but not necessary.

There are two positions available, one in Papua New Guinea and one in the Philippines.  These positions are fly in / fly out with all airfares, accommodation and meals paid for.  An attractive day rate is on offer for the successful applicants.
