Major Coal operation is seeking Senior Maintenance staff with backgrounds in Open Cut Coal Mining for new project. 
 
Position:
Maintenance Superintendent / Manager
Supervise and develop a high performing team for a major coal mining operation.  
This Greenfield site will allow you direct input to implement maintenance strategies and improvements of your design across the mobile fleet as construction of the mine begins
  
Experience & Education:
  • Equal to 7+ years previous experience
  • HME including CAT, Hitachi & Komatsu, ideally in an Open Cut Coal
  • Cert IV (TAE / TAA) Trainer Assessor (Not Essential)
  • Supervisory qualifications G2A, S1, S2, S3
  • A Mechanical Trade qualification such as Diesel Fitter, Boilermaker, Fitter
  • Certificate IV in Frontline Management
  • Degree in Engineering
  • Strong Strategy & planning skills with a proactive approach to maintenance
Role:
  • Ensuring the Maintenance Department plans are executed effectively by planning and assigning daily work for the crew, monitoring progress and modifying as required.
  •  Identifying and monitoring required changes and improvements to increase the quality and efficiency of operations.
  • Facilitating effective handovers through appropriate shift reporting.
  • Managing direct reports through leave approvals, identifying training and development needs and providing feedback on areas of talent or improvement.
  • Administering daily toolbox talks with maintenance crew to ensure understanding of work to be completed and any risks or hazards associated.
  • Creating/facilitating work methods that assist predictive maintenance to optimise equipment availability.
  • Contributing to budget guidelines by monitoring the workgroups spending against forecasts.
  • Monitoring and reviewing maintenance processes, develop recommendations to improve maintenance, planning and utilisation of resources to achieve key performance indicators
