The Role
Reporting to the Manager Mining Engineering, the Senior Mining Engineer will work with considerable independence in approach, demanding a substantial degree of originality, ingenuity and judgement but as part of an overall team delivering Feasibility study management , Equipment evaluation ,Contract preparation and administration , Due diligence and auditing, Financial modelling, Business planning and Valuations on time and on budget, while meeting the company exacting quality standards.
Role Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity interested candidates must possess the following:-
Essential
Bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution in Mining or related discipline
Extensive experience in mining sector including mine planning and design, mine management, and both open pit and underground mining operations;;
Skilled in mining software, preferably Vulcan, Surpac or Minesight
Exposure to a diverse range of metalliferous mine operations (including Au, Ni, Zn, Cu etc)
Understands key elements of project management as they apply to service delivery for medium to high complexity projects
Significant experience in:
Feasibility study management
Equipment evaluation
Contract preparation and administration
Due diligence and auditing
Financial modelling
Business planning
Valuations (cash flow, market and cost approaches)
Desirable
Continued commitment to post graduate study would be advantageous
Member AusIMM
Certificate level in project management
Management experience in a mining operations environment
Experience within a global matrix model professional services environment would be advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to apply project management processes to service delivery
Exposure to various international reporting standards (JORC Code, NI43-101, SAMREC etc)
