Segment Leader

Role Purpose:

The incumbent is responsible to coordinate the activities of all the projects and projects’ managers projects belonging to his segment of responsibility.
To advise customers and support the sales team and coordinate between the inspection estimating team and the planning team on the best methods and practices, customer requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Specific Responsibilities (not limited to):

To project manage service projects and enquiries
To coordinate and delegate instructions between estimating and planning teams
To supplier the SC in order to meet the required output
To coordinate and bridge the gaps between customer, sales and workshop in their respective requirements

Skills and Attributes Required

Supervisory and leadership skills
All required skills for both planning and estimating job functions plus
Project Management
Report compilation
Work within the framework of a team
Attention to detail
Must be quality and customer service orientated
Have a high level of initiative and drive
Work under pressure

Work Environment

Working condition is within a factory and open plan office environment
From time to time, travel to customer sites, supplier s and competitor to carry out inspections, support and assistance

Job Description

To inspect and estimate project repair costs and delivery periods to ensure they are successfully repaired within the correct engineering specifications and standards required.
To advise customers and supporter the sales team and the planning team on the best methods and practices of repairs ensuring a quality engineered repaired product

Report compilation
Manage and document his/her word processes and report on any non-conformances and were applicable provide countermeasures

Experience Required

Project management
2 years Inspector Estimating of mechanical engineered products and service advising
3 years projects planning and buying being the key competency
Baan systems is advantageous

Qualifications Required

Qualified tradesmen (turner/ fitter)
Minimum N5 or equivalent
Project management qualification
Valid driver’s Code 8
Computer literacy
