Materials Manager

Introduction

Our client is looking for a Materials Manager to join their team

Minimum Requirements

• Matric
• Supply Chain / Material Management diploma will be advantageous
• Certificate in Supply Chain / Material Management
• Must be in a possession of a valid drivers licence and own transport
• Computer literate
• Be fully conversant in English, and at least one of the other official languages
• Have good written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge and experience of computerized materials logistics and storage systems

Job Specification

• Industry specific experience is a pre requisite i.e. experience in a Construction, Mechanical and/or Petrochemical environment on large Projects.
• Extensive experience in the Supply Chain environment at supervisory level
• Extensive Inventory and Material Management.
• Cycle counts, repairs and stock movement control.
• Inbound and outbound processes.
• Training of staff.
• Working knowledge of an ERP, SAP system, preferably JD Edwards
• Experience in the mining/engineering/construction industry will be an added advantage
