Parts Buyer

We require a Parts Buyer for our Mining Division to be based at our Head Office in Springs

Responsibilities and specifications pertaining to the job:

• Senior Certificate or equivalent thereof.
• Business or Sales & Marketing experience
• Experience in a purchasing or Buying for Construction / Mining componentry
• Develop a strong positive rapport with all our vendors and become the main contact for the company parts Mining
• Identify potential suppliers
• Negotiate with vendors on purchasing to help increase the Mining Parts long term profitability
• Work with vendors to ensure product availability, delivery scheduling and to solve any pricing or other issues
• Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers
• Study the full product lines, becoming an expert in product knowledge. Seek out new products that will help increase the company’s profitability
• Work with Sales and the Service Managers to keep up to date on the trends and the needs of the stores when making buying decisions
• Run and analyse reports to determine percentages and then make appropriate decision to ensure we have the proper inventory levels at all stores
• Arrange transfers, ordering more material from suppliers and proposing and executing strategy
• Keep contact filed and using them as reference for the future
• Must reside on the East Rand - no relocation
• Non smoker
• Driver’s License
• Own transport essential
