This Kalgoorlie-based miner is seeking the perfect candidate to lead their Geotechnical team at this major operation. They are a strong producer of gold in WA and have a positive reputation in the market as a great place to work and as a company who look after their employees. You can be part of their operation and drive Geotechnical excellence. 

Your key duties will be the leadership of the Geotechnical function and the constant monitoring and improvement of the team performance. You will work with the Mine Planning and Design teams to ensure all plans are executed in coordination with the Geotechnical plan, and that maximum efficiency of operations is achieved. You will report to the Mine Manager on activities and on any issues that may arise, and use your extensive Geotechnical expertise to ensure the safety and successful operation of this huge mine. 

You will possess a tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering and extensive experience in an open pit mining environment. You will have proven ability in a senior position and be fully competent with mine modelling software. Exceptional leadership skills and an incredible depth of knowledge in the field of Geotechnical Engineering will ensure your success.
