Millwright

Large Mining Group has a outstanding positions available for 2 x Qualified Millwrights.

• The successful candidate must have experience in maintenance of Mechanical and Electrical Equipment as they will be required to work on a mining plant equipment.
  
• This successful candidate must be able to implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs and should have the ability to plan and organize tasks independently.
  
• Knowledge of OHS standards is essential. 
     
    
  

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate
• Must have trade qualification as a Millwright
• 2 - 5 year’s relevant working experience as a Millwright specialising in Mechanical and Electrical repairs to Equipment in the mining industry
• Medically fit with a Red Seal is essential
• Valid drivers license and own transport
• Installation and disassembly of mechanical machinery and Electrical equipment according to layout plans
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings and industrial specifications
• Working knowledge using hoists and lift trucks
• Knowledge of operating engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
• Lubrication of vehicles and machines
• Excellent fault finding techniques
• Good knowledge of the procedures required in order to operate the maintenance system
• Ability to read technical specifications
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose problems
• Ability to operate power tools and equipment with precision
• Oral communications skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team
• Good health, physical fitness, stamina and manual dexterity
• Knowledge of safe working procedures
