Landmark Project for Major EPCM
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to fill this challenging position as Contracts Manager in WA. This site based contract role will be responsible for administration of contracts during the construction phase. The main focus for the Contracts Manager will be to ensure all contracts are compliant with legal statutes and adhere to all terms agreed by the contractors, vendors and suppliers concerned. The role will play a key part in establishing and maintaining all procedures relating to tendering, contract evaluation, contract administration and claims negotiation. This Senior Contracts role will also work closely with the Commercial and Project Controls Mangers to help implement and administer contracts and procurement processes and ensure the successful delivery of the project within requisite time frame and budget.
Other duties will include (but will not be limited to):
Sustain and take record of contractor performance
Analysis and management of commercial risk to the project
Providing Contract Management support to the entire project
Assessing and making recommendations for award of contracts
Management of internal and external stakeholder and project relationships
Track variations/scope changes/rework associated with sub-contractors work
Mentor junior staff member to help produce the best result for the project
This role will oversee certain pre and post contract phases of the project and work closely with the team responsible for the cost control duties and procurement procedures.
We require candidates with the following experience:
Formal qualification in relevant field or have equivalent experience in running large value contracts
At least 10 years experience in a similar role on a Mining Project
7 years experience at contract supervisory or managerial role
To be able to demonstrate strong interpretation, communication and organisational skills.
