A leading global EPCM requires a Contracts and Procurement Manager with a staff role for a number of major mining projects located in WA. We are seeking to appoint a competent and experienced Contracts and Procurement Manager, 3+ years EPCM or Client experience required and 8+ years in a commensurate management role.

As a knowledgeable Contracts and Procurement Manager, you will have previous experience working with EPCM and client companies, utilizing your excellent contracts and procurement skills on Major Mining and Materials Handling Projects. Working across a number of projects (Brownfields and Greenfields) including some infrastructure and civil works. You will monitor and improve on contracts and procurement processes and manage the selection process of suppliers and contractors across this project, while dealing with contractor claims, variations and OET claims. You will be a strong, driven and high level manager that can communicate and deal with a strong and demanding client.
The successful candidate will possess:
Substantial operational procurement knowledge from within a similar environment
Demonstrated experience in preparing and interpreting complex contract documents.
Well developed negotiation skills and superior written communication skills are also essential to the success of this role.
Provide total contract support to the project.
Prepare tender and contract documentation.
Draft and negotiate terms and agreements with all vendors and suppliers.

Previous experience in the following is essential:
7 years plus in a similar role as Procurement or Contracts Manager
Successfully leading and mentoring a contracts and procurement or operations team at a functional level
Have a sense of urgency meeting contractual requirements
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
3-5 years EPCM or Client experience required
