As part of increased activity in the Pilbara region of WA global clients are in the process of expanding their Iron Ore operations even further. As part of this drive WYN Recruitment is working with a global EPCM consultancy as it looks to facilitate this rapid expansion on behalf of the client. This $multi-billion project is looking to expand and maximise the existing infrastructure and materials handling equipment of this large Iron Ore expansion. There will be a major focus on development and construction of this vital Iron Ore expansion project within the Pilbara region in WA.
Other duties will include (but will not be limited to):
Manage internal and external stakeholder and project relationships.
Streamline and improve procurement management process.
Maintain records of purchasing and materials.
Provide technical and contract support to project team as required for procurement matters.
Contribute to and review the scopes of work and contract conditions
Liaise with engineering to ensure procurement processes are managed effectively
This on-going role is of high importance to the current project and several projects in the future. This role will also assist with developing current activity as well as estimating for future associated projects.
We require candidates with the following experience:
5+ years in a procurement role
Evidence of successfully leading and mentoring a procurement team
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
EPCM or Client experience within Mining required
