Quantity Surveyor

WYN is offering an excellent WA based opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor on one of the largest Mining projects currently in Australia with long term contracts and competitive rates. This high value Iron Ore project provides attractive rates and the opportunity to work in the construction project phase within this world renowned EPCM.
 
$Multi-Billion Project
World Renowned EPCM
Site Base Role
 
This large project covers all aspects of mining development.  A large West Australian project which has several years left of the construction phase now requires a site based QS.  This large project is valued in the billions and is in the construction stage of the project offering up 18 month of employment on a contract basis. This will encompass projects and work packages across all engineering fields of construction.  Experience within EPCM will be viewed favorably as will a degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent.
 
Your Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:


Perform risk and value management and cost control
Advising on procurement strategy 
Ensure all estimates are prepared and reviewed in accordance with tender procedures and to client's requirements
Identify, analyse and development responses to commercial risks
Preparing and analysing costing for tenders
Provide advice on contractual claims
 
This on-going role is of high importance to the current project and several projects in the future. This role will also assist with developing current activity as well as estimating for future associated projects. 
 
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
 
3-5 years experience in a Quantity Surveyor role
Previous EPCM experience 
Experience within Mining preferable
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management
