Entry Level Mechanical Engineer
Description and Desired Qualifications
- Our Entry Level Mechanical Engineer Positions will offer you an exciting opportunity to help our clients provide a safe and reliable source of energy to heat homes, fuel automobiles, and move good and services in support of millions of people worldwide. Each day you will be part of a team with overall responsibilities for design issues associated with all types of fixed and rotating mechanical equipment for refinery and other oil and gas related projects. You should have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 6 months engineering experience.
Our Entry Level Mechanical Engineer:
- Provides mechanical engineering work for refineries and other oil and gas facilities; includes assisting with specification, design and evaluation of pressure equipment, rotating equipment, and piping systems.
- Has a high degree of interaction with a variety of contacts including technical and non-technical peers, other engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, contractors, etc.
Special Note:
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in the greater Bellingham area. [Company] will not sponsor a work visa (e.g. H-1B visa, etc.) to fill this position.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 6 months - 2 years mechanical engineering experience (internship / coop experience acceptable)
- Exceptional skills in communication, teamwork, leadership and initiative
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in refinery, petrochemical or oil and gas industries
- Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering or EIT Exam
- Proficiency in engineering related software
- Direct maintenance, operation or design experience with machinery or equipment
- Direct experience with welding or metal fabrication
Degree Required
- Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
