Description and Desired Qualifications
- Our Cement Mason job will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting, large scale construction projects. You should be a self motivated, detail oriented professional with experience in road and bridge construction. Cement Masons perform tasks involving the laying and finishing of concrete for highway construction. Cement Masons will mix, compact, spread, finish, and cure concrete for highway construction. Cement Masons should know how to operate troweling machinery and other texturing tools for finishing and shaping the concrete.
- The Cement Mason should also have a good understanding of concrete characteristics and the effects of weather on the curing of the concrete once laid and smoothed. Candidate must pass an initial drug screen and accept random drug testing practices.
- Duty hours will vary throughout the project, flexibility in scheduling is highly desired. Must be willing to accept and complete other minor tasks as assigned. Must maintain and abide by all job safety requirements.
- Work Conditions: Load noises, heavy vibrations, construction equipment danger, climbing, lifting, inclement weather conditions
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of how to operate troweling machinery and other texturing tools for finishing and shaping the concrete.
- A good understanding of concrete characteristics and the effects of weather on the curing of the concrete once laid and smoothed.
