Manager Engineering Material Sciences
Department
- Manages a functional Materials Technology department in product and process development. Develops an organization that can execute on assigned projects.
- Develops staff through PPM's and talent development plans. Leads the development of technology roadmaps in functional areas.
Tasks
- Manages a functional team in Global Materials Technology.
- Manages departmental project portfolio. Mentors and coaches project leaders. Ensures that priority projects have proper resources.
- Provides monthly progress reports. Ensures project roadblocks are elevated when necessary. Monitors are reports on KPI's
- Drives standardization. Leverages resources through project and competency teams. Drives
- LEAN throughout their organization and project teams.
Requirements
- Degree in materials science or related field. Eight or more years relevant experience. Three to five years of management experience. Advanced degrees are preferred.
