Automation Controls Engineer

Position Description

• This opening is with [Company], a division of [Company] Power and Propulsion – a world leader in the investment casting of superalloys, aluminum and titanium primarily for jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine markets and a leading supplier of forgings for the aerospace, automotive, commercial transportation, and other industrial markets.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate automated equipment and processes and solve automated equipment and employee training issues
• Review related manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to determine tasks to be performed
• Program robot to perform specified tasks, and apply knowledge of programming language using teach pendants, keyboards, control panels, or robot controllers
• Take responsibility for managing the overall project
• Modify programs to refine movement of robot using the various controllers
• This position can be filled with a job grad 15 or 16 depending upon experience

Basic Qualifications    

• 5 years of Automation and Controls experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills, good PC skills, and project management skills
• Project Management experience
• Must work well in a team environment and possess good leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications          

• BS degree in Electrical, Automated, Application Engineering, Mechanical or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of applicable experiences in Automation or Robotics
