Intern - Industrial Hygiene

Position Description

• Assist in developing the industrial hygiene program through collection and evaluation of airborne contaminant and noise exposure data for improved anticipation, evaluation and control of health hazards in our workplace. Assist in management, development and design of health hazard control strategies by working with the EHS team, which includes industrial hygienists, safety professionals, medical professionals, and mechanical engineers. Obtain an understanding of the aluminum manufacturing and related processes. Obtain hands on experience through interaction with various occupations and work environments to include casting operations, laboratory research, and finishing operations.

Basic Qualifications

• Working towards BS with completion of junior year at a college or university in an ABET accredited industrial hygiene program or a closely related field. Good academic standing. Basic computer/data entry/Microsoft office proficiency skills.
