Instrument/Electrical Supervisor-Raw Materials/Chemicals

Position Description

  • As an Instrument and Electrical (I&E) Supervisor in Raw Materials/Chemicals you will be responsible for the overall I&E maintenance systems within the bauxite discharge operations, materials reclaim and handling systems, bulk loading operations, and hydrate drying operations.

Basic Qualifications    

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Electrical Maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory/management experience in a related work environment.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills in safety and human relations.
  • Proven ability to influence, persuade, and motivate subordinates including addressing and improving poor performance of individual team members.
  • Ability to handle first step grievances in a manner that protects the company interest and the rights of the employee.

Preferred Qualifications          

  • Formal training after High School preferred.
  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Experience with, and/or strong knowledge of, labor contracts and agreements preferred.
