Area Manager, Construction

Job Duties:

  • Visualizes and implements the [Company]. vision and core values • Lead and mentor a staff of engineers, construction & project managers, estimators, interns and administrative assistants, superintendents, equipment operators, truck drivers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor employee training and certification.
  • Maintain recruiting, hiring, promotion, and corrective action.
  • Project, organize, and implement annual budgets and work under contract.
  • Oversee the distribution of equipment, personnel, and other construction related resources. Maintain insurable driving record.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, construction management or related field with ten years of progressive estimating and project management experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills.
  • Ability to review and analyze financial information. Strategic thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health
  • Administration (OSHA) and department of transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook skills.
  • Literate in Heavy Construction Systems Specialists (HCSS), Heavy Bid, and Viewpoint.
