MINING GEOLOGIST
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the team and the survey department
- Provide expertise on the geological aspects of development and production in mine
- Assure the quality of the coal/gold extracted and ensure the safety of the extraction process
- Assess and interpret mine geology maps
- Ensure the safety of the mining site
- Handle project initiation, progress reports, and verification of data from other sources
- Perform exploring, dating and sampling mineral deposits
- Build a good rapport between the team and the clients
- Create mine models using SURPAC software

Our client is a large consultancy firm, which provides services in the areas of Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Infrastructures and other related disciplines. They have more than 20 offices throughout Asia Pacific, Middle East, USA and UK.
Skills and experience required
- Degree in Geotechnical, Mining Engineering or any relevant discipline
- Highly motivated and with strong analytical skills
- Must be flexible and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum of 5 years experience in engineering design and consulting firm
- Knowledgeable in Datamine, Surpac or other related software programmes
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- With extensive skills in mine estimation
- Must be flexible and willing to travel
