Environmental Approvals Manager

  • Proactive leader required for an award winning consultancy 
  • Brisbane based position 
  • Salary from $160,000 commensurate to experience
This internationally renowned consultancy is looking for a proactive leader to manage their environmental approvals team. Based in Brisbane, you will work on new and exciting projects across a number of industries. You will be working with your team of environmental specialists to ensure a smooth progression through to final approval. You will have a strong understanding of how the process works and the ability to draw together all parts of the EIS. Key responsibilities of the role include identifying and scoping new business opportunities, providing technical leadership and mentoring to your team, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. Previous Project Management skills will be highly regarded. 

To be successful in this role you will have: 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications 
  • Strong environmental approvals experience within construction, mining, or consultancy 
  • Excellent report writing skills and the ability to write and review 
  • Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) 
  • Superior legislative and regulatory knowledge 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills 
  • Project Management skills 
  • Team leadership and management 
  • Business development skills and a strong commercial understanding 
  • Proactive attitude with a desire to succeed
