Mining Superintendent (Philippines, Mongolia)
Key responsibilities
Management and development of all site mine geology activities and systems
Responsible for the development, revision and enhancement of geological procedures and systems, including; grade control, sampling, assaying, geological and geotechnical logging, pit wall and floor mapping, mining, destination control and reconciliations.
Liaises with Exploration Manager on resource, reserve planning and development.
Develops business plans and budgets with the management team.
Manages and coordinates with contractors and consultants associated with geological activities.
Maintains and facilitates the accurate recording of data including financial, KPI, and technical information.
Liaises with Mining Engineers and Geotechnical Consultants and ensure the collection of pertinent geotechnical data for ongoing pit monitoring and design.
Provides geological input into metallurgical test-work and sample selection, and hydro geological studies including pit dewatering and potable bore field exploration and development.
Contribute to improve interdepartmental relationships and the overall "team" culture of the Company, through effective representation of the department at meetings and a cooperative approach to dealings with peers.
Actively review systems and procedures regularly within your area to maximize effectiveness and efficiency within the Company.

Skills and experience required
Bachelor’s Degree in Geology/Geophysics or equivalent from a reputable university.
Minimum 10 years experience in mining, quarrying or heavy earthmoving industries
Previous experience in managing geological activities in mining environment and/or exploration activities.
A strong technical background including geological mapping, geotechnics, hydrogeology, resource estimation and geological modelling competencies.
Sound understanding of and experience in selective mining techniques
Ability to participate in the preparation of and comply with mining production plans
Ability to provide leadership of the mining production team and development/mentoring of the supervisory group
