This global consultancy is looking for an experienced Flora Ecologist / Botanist to join their specialist Environmental team. Based in their Townsville office you will be involved in  flora and vegetation surveys, reports, and assessments to support Environmental Approvals for major energy and infrastructure projects.  You will be part of a supportive team working together to ensure that the projects are delivered on time. 


To succeed in this position you will possess the following:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Botany, Ecology,  or similar)
  • Previous experience within a consultancy environment
  • Botanical field experience in Queensland
  • Strong plant identification and taxonomy skills
  • Queensland and Commonwealth legislation knowledge
  • Understanding of the Approvals process
  • Effective written and verbal communication
