Our company is an executive recruitment consultancy with a number of established relationships with highly reputable Organisations within the Mining sector. Ballantyne Recruitment s Mining sector currently has four exciting roles that require experienced Open Cut Examiner ( OCE ) to start ASAP working out of the Bowen Basin region.

You will be responsible for managing shift activities in accordance with the Company's safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures. You will be responsible for statutory checks of the pit, assisting with accident and incident investigations and risk assessments to ensure that corrective action is taken where deficiencies or non-conformances are identified. You will provide technical knowledge for correct drilling and blasting procedures and also indentifying areas of improvements to ensure efficiency.

For you to be successful in this position you will need Queensland OCE Statutory Qualifications Minimum of 3 years experience in an open cut mining environment

Candidates must hold

• A current QLD Coal Board Medical, Generic Coal Surface Induction, S1/2/3 and G2 
• Safety focussed with strong communication skills 
• Demonstrated leadership skills 
• Knowledge of Qld coal legislative requirements
