As a provider of exploration resources to the Asian-Pacific mining sector, our client is well placed to continue their fast paced expansion across Australia.
Their Brisbane office is urgently seeking a Senior Coal Geologist to consult and oversee the management of the Geology Department, with exploration, resource and mine geology roles available. FIFO is offered from Brisbane so candidates would need to be based in or relocate to Brisbane.
Within this role you will take responsibility for:
Underground longwall and development mapping
Providing effective coal quality analysis and forecasting
Ensuring currency of geological information
Overseeing exploration drilling and field geology programs
Identifying geological hazards and controlling risks
To be eligible to apply for this role you will have:
A tertiary qualification in geology is essential
Competencies in the use of coal modelling software
Minimum 10 years previous experience within Underground and Open cut Coal Mining
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Proactive attitude to safety
