NSW Based Senior Role
Work for one of the largest integrated client teams on the East Coast of Australia on this ground breaking mining project. Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Procurement Manager to see this $multi-billion mining project through from start to finish in NSW.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all procurement relating to the Strategic Supply Agreement program is effectively managed, documented and implemented according to overall SSA. Working this landmark project while based initially in Newcastle eventually moving to site, you will monitor and improve on contracts and procurement processes, while providing input with contractor claims, variations and OET claims.
Other duties will include (but will not be limited to):
Development and implementation of the relevant Document Control programs
Developing and managing the department man hour⁄resource budget
Contribute to and review the scopes of work and contract conditions
Liaise with engineering to ensure procurement processes are managed effectively
Reporting, forecasting and supplier performance assist in the resolution of supplier disputes
Administer and resolve contractual aspects over the duration of the contract, including but not limited to contract variations and rise or fall pricing etc
If this is of interest to you, then as an ideal candidate you will need:
7 years+ in a similar role as Procurement or Contracts Manager
Successfully leading and mentoring a procurement team
Ability to write and review technical reports
Ability to develop⁄formulate appropriate procurement strategies for projects
Ability to negotiate supply prices and terms
Have a sense of urgency meeting contractual requirements
5 years+ EPCM or Client experience required
