This is a landmark project for the company and the North West area of Australia, it is one of the most challenging for engineers that has ever been designed and constructed. The strongest possible Project team has been assembled and you will support and work closely with some of the industry's leading professionals. You will be given the forum to grow your project skills and utilize your estimating experience to make a large contribution to the team and take your career to a new level.
A strong back ground of analysis of material and sub-contract quotes and ability to act as team leader for large value change orders in a number of projects is needed. Candidates will have experience of linking of estimates into project cost control and schedule monitoring systems and ensuring all change orders and variations are estimated correctly and incorporated into the project control systems.
Duties and responsibilities will extend to the following:
Responsible for providing full cost estimating services
Analysis of tender documents
Provide input into improving policies and systems for the estimating process
Follow up and analysis of RFQs and RFP's
Prepare post-submission responses to client for the clarification of matters
Review draft construction contracts for adequacy of cost and schedule requirements
Comment on proposed commercial terms of projects
Required Competencies ⁄ Skills you will have the ability to:
5 years or more experience in Construction or Building Industry or Estimation
Read and review data sheets and engineering drawings
Prepare cost estimates including marine, port works for piling, anchoring and structures
Calculate indirect cost estimates against industry benchmarks
Mentor and train others
Strong personal organisational skills
Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related subjects
