Long Term Contract Position with Integrated Client Team
One of the largest Global EPCM's operating within Australia has a large emerging project in early works for this well known mining and resources client and as a result there is now a need to hire an experienced Senior Contracts Manager and also a Contracts Manager. This high level EPCM role will look after all contracts matters for the early works, pre award and formation of contracts. This is an excellent opportunity to join the project at a critical stage to ensure its successful delivery and the clients continued success as it follows it already sharp growth trajectory and delivers one of the largest Iron Ore projects in the world today. As an ideal candidate you will have already managed a Contracts Team as a senior on projects which have exceeded $500 million in value - either working for an EPCM consultancy or client company.
The main function of this role will be to (but not limited to):
Provide total contract support to the project.
Prepare tender and contract documentation.
Evaluate tender and quotation responses.
Draft and negotiate terms and agreements with all vendors and suppliers.
Make recommendations for the award of contracts.
Analyse and evaluate commercial risk.
Manage internal and external stakeholder and project relationships.
Streamline and improve contract management process.
Maintain records of contractor performance.
Provide technical and contract expertise to project team as required.

This Perth based role will not only assist with the origination of contractual documentation, early works and pre award but be involved with the administration of those contracts during the construction phase.
The main focus for the Contracts Manager will be to ensure all contracts are compliant with legal statutes and adhere to all terms agreed by the contractors, vendors and suppliers concerned. The role will play a key part in establishing all procedures relating to tendering, contract evaluation, contract administration and claims negotiation.
As an ideal candidate you will need:
10 years or more as Senior Contracts Management Professional -Commercial Manager
5+ years within EPCM or Client Teams at a high level
Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce or relevant engineering subject is essential
A successful track record in working on high value projects.
Strong leadership, drafting, formation,communication and organisational skills.
A high level of commercial acumen coupled with an acute ability for risk mitigation.
Effective communication skills across all levels.
