A tier 1 global contractor now requires a Contracts Manager to work across the concrete, building and mechanical divisions. You will work closely with the estimating department and offer support and guidance by way of reviewing all tender documents and produce qualifications and review all contracts. This large multi-billion dollar project is about to commence the next phase of construction. This project is offering long term employment and market leading rates.
Responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to the following:
Prepare tender and contract documentation.
Evaluate tender and quotation responses.
Draft and negotiate terms and agreements with all vendors and suppliers.
Make recommendations for the award of contracts.
Analyse and evaluate commercial risk.
Manage internal and external stakeholder and project relationships.
Streamline and improve contract management process.
Maintain records of contractor performance.
The main focus for the Contracts Manager will be to ensure all contracts are compliant with legal statutes and adhere to all terms agreed by the contractors, vendors and suppliers concerned. The role will play a key part in establishing and maintaining all procedures relating to tendering, contract evaluation, contract administration and claims negotiation.
As an ideal candidate you will possess:
Tertiary qualifications in law, commerce or engineering
Previous Contracts Management Experience of 10+years
A successful track record in working on high value projects.
Strong leadership, drafting, communication and organisational skills.
A high level of commercial acumen coupled with an acute ability for risk mitigation
