We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the following position as Project Information Manager. Based in Perth this role will be involved heavily in Manage the information technology, automation and information ⁄ data requirements for the project team at the direction of the Programme Information and IT Manager and delegates. The right candidate will typically have had a sound technical career, coupled with management experience in roles such as Project Management⁄IT Technical Lead.
Other duties will include (but will not be limited to):
Ensure Project Offices receive the required IM services, including Office setup
Act as IM contact point for Project Offices
Ensure policies and standards are implemented
Assist with the development and implementation of the IT policy and strategic plan
Manage relationships with Site IT Support
Provide project schedules, costs and status reports as required
Provide input for the automation of better process workflows
Assists projects, project managers and users with all data⁄infrastructure related queries or concerns.
Manage the information technology to ensure it supports the goals of the project
Determine opportunities for improvement and cost reduction of current IT systems, and assess future IT needs by consulting with people at all levels of the project
Review work process for improvement opportunities and integration requirements; IT Infrastructure - LAN \ WAN, hardware and peripherals. Software: standard desktop image and non-standard requirements, application implementation review
Performing project data management - project initiation process for IT infrastructure procurement and implementation, RFS \ SOR requirements, server project directory setup and implementation of access control matrix for data security management
To be successful in the role you will need a demonstrable history of:
8-10 years experience of computer related experience
A sound technical career, management experience such as IT Technical Lead
Multitasking and management skills are a necessity
Extensive experience in IT infrastructure is essential
Ability to use the Microsoft suite including Microsoft Project
Engineering qualifications preferred, not essential
Business or management qualification or experience is beneficial
