Due to the continued growth of this EPCM consultancy, there is now a need for a Lead Civil Engineer to join the team and develop the company's portfolio. This is an opportunity not only to become involved in current development but also to be part of future projects.
This highly senior role will require you to participate, when required, in concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility, expansion, and mine life studies for the mining and minerals processing and materials handling industry and to lead a team of design engineers to develop design inputs and concept into completed design deliverables
Further duties and responsibilities will include:
Define, review and ensure the quality of the civil engineering work practices, procedures and system tools for the production of the engineering deliverables
Review the civil team's performance against the planned progress and schedule milestones
Perform design reviews, peer reviews and technical reviews
Manage and mentor civil engineering team as well as provide input for team reviews and appraisals
Assist in the recruitment of civil engineers and designers
Coordinate civil engineering efforts with other engineering disciplines and groups
Adhere to all safety protocols and comply with industry standards
Manage and mitigate potential risk and assure cost control measures

In order to succeed in this role you will need the following:
Civil Engineering Degree qualifications
Minimum 10 years experience
A work history within an EPCM environment
Proven record of managing and supervising staff
