Our client is a leading mining consultancy with offices in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Vancouver and the UK. They provide services exclusively to the minerals sector working with clients to plan new mines or improve operations of existing mines with a primary focus on achieving optimum output and return.

Due to continued success, they are now seeking to strengthen the Brisbane office with a Principle Resource Geologist:

Specialist skills required:

·         Geological experience in open pit and/or underground coal operations.

·         Coal exploration experience including drill planning, supervision, logging, geophysics and coal quality analysis.

·         Statistical and geostatistical analysis.

·         Geological interpretation and resource estimation.

·         Strong capability to identify and apply appropriate resource estimation techniques including a good knowledge of geostatistical · techniques.

·         Ability to sign off on Mineral Resource statements as per The JORC Code requirements.

·         Excellent communication skills including report writing.

Qualifications required

·         Degree in geology with a minimum of 10 years of sound geological and resource estimation experience in a variety of environments.
