A unique opportunity to be part of this young gold mining company’s new flagship operation has become available. The mine will be going operational later this year, and the company also has a host of exciting exploration projects on the horizon and a large tenement portfolio sure to yield results. 


You have the chance to be the Superintendent to join this operation from the outset and really take control. Your duties will include developing strategies and systems for planning and production, as well as contributing to the short and medium term plans and scheduling. You will engage in cost estimation, budgeting and reporting and work closely with all members of the mining team to ensure plans are executed effectively and targets are met. 


As with any position of responsibility in the mining industry, safety is paramount and you will work to ensure the safety of your colleagues and of the operation. You will also act as Quarry Manager where required. 


To excel in this role you will possess a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering and at least 5 years experience in an open pit mining environment, including some experience in gold mining.  You will have experience in Mine Planning and Scheduling, and knowledge of the relevant software packages. 


You will be the holder of a WA Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency and be ready to excel in the leadership responsibilities that come with it. Initially Perth based, you will transfer to a FIFO roster later in the year as the mine approaches the production stage.
