Senior Mechanical Material Handling Engineer

Our company is seeking experienced Senior Mechanical Material Handling Engineers interested in working with a large resource company. This is a contract position is located in the Perth CBD.

It is essential that you have:
  • A Tertiary Mechanical Engineering qualification;
  • At least 10 years experience in material handling, mining or related industries;
  • Previous experience in a Senior role;
  • Extensive 'hands on" materials handling experience: conveyors, crushing and screening plant, chutes and feeders, rotary car dumpers, stacker/reclaimers, shiploaders, etc;
  • Demonstrated experience in feasibility studies, design, construction and commissioning for mining and bulk material handling plants, including large scale conveyor design projects; and
  • Previous experience on EPCM projects.
Required Competencies / Skills
  • Ability to manage and lead a discipline team;
  • Ability to undertake concept studies as well as design in detail;
  • Ability to think analytically and logically;
  • Ability to delegate tasks and communicate;
  • Understanding HSE regulations and standards;
  • Ability to implement cost control measures; and
Applicants must:

Currently reside, and be authorised to work in Australia (eg. Work Visa if required).
