Senior Mine Geologist

A excellent opportunity has arisen in North West QLD for a Senior Mine Geologist with underground hard rock experience. This is great opportunity to establish yourself within an international copper producer, reporting directly to the technical services manager.
 
  • The position will be based on an 8:6 roster and provides the opportunity to be based on the East Coast.
  • Relocation is provided dependant on situation.
  • Alternatively FIFO will be offered from any location.

To be successful you will need to be degree qualified and have a minimum 5+ years experience in mine geology (Hard Rock). You will be highly motivated to build the success of the mine and have the confidence and ability to contribute to the leadership team
 
Duties will include: 

·         Geological mapping and sampling 
·         Grade control and 3d modelling
·         Completion of ore reserves 
·         Geological data and delineation program management 
·         Designing and supervision of drilling programs 
·         Implementation of zero harm safety strategy
 
Strong IT skills are essential and experience in Datamine is preferred.
