A opportunity has arisen for a Mine Geologist to join an international base metals company.

Reporting to the Senior Production Geologist your primary role will be to ensure efficient mine planning and extraction of mineral resources.

Duties will include:

• Management and validation of data collated by Geo-Technicians.
• Supervision of drilling programmes, geological core logging and collation of all associated data.
• Assisting with the development and on going supervision of a ground control plan and procedure for the open pit and underground operations.
• Development of near mine resource extensional exploration and reserve delineations.
• Preparing of geological and technical reports
• Assisting with ground control, mining engineering/planning and survey requirements.
• Contributing to the ore / waste reconciliation process
• Minimising waste and contribute to cost controls

Strong IT skills are essential and experience in Datamine is preferred.
The role is FIFO 8:6 rosta out of Cairns or Townsville.
