Contracts Officers

We are seeking Contracts Officers to support various functions across our Fortescue Supply Chain Team. Reporting to a Contracts Specialist you will provide support across the contract management functions which are responsible for commodities, operations contracts, infrastructure maintenance, logistics and all related ancillary agreements. 

The key deliverables to the role will include:
  • Assist with the preparation , tendering, and financial evaluation of  contracts for FMG operations
  • Sound understanding of contractual compliance
  • Assist with the management of the  life cycle of contract
  • Identify contract discrepancies and contractor engagement
  • Day to day management and maintenance of contract register
  • Review of internal processes to ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Validation of progress claims and supporting documentation
  • Financial analytical and technical acumen
To be successful in this role the candidate must possess:
  • Demonstrated level of interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to proactively engage, communicate and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to handle multiple and complex tasks and activities that contain financial and operational risk.
  • Ability to work effectively and productively in a team environment as well as with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive and outcomes focussed, with ability to work to tight deadlines and in high pressure environments, and assist others to do so.
  • Relevant industry experience combined with demonstrable commercial, legal and/or finance exposure.
  • Financial Tertiary qualifications
