Our client is a diverse mining company who currently an exciting opportunity available at their underground operation in the goldfields region of W.A. As of the largest producers with assets and operations in over 5 countries and a multimillion dollar expansion plan, they are now able to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced underground Mining Engineer to join their strategic planning team.
In this role you will work closely with the Strategic Planning Manager and provide long term strategies and technical support to the mining team. You will ensure all medium term activities are aligned with the long term plans and develop budgets and forecast in order to meet company deadlines. Further on you will liaise with the mining team, contractors and suppliers on a daily basis and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Requirements:
• You will have a Bachelor degree in Mining Engineering and a First Class Mine Managers ticket.
• A solid understanding of short, medium and long term planning and substantial experience in underground environment is necessary.
• You will be highly IT literate and confident in using Vulcan and Mine 2-4 D.
