Our client is an innovative coal mining and exploration company with projects located across the country. As one of the largest tenement holders in the Galilee Basin, it has already established resources and reserves in excess of 4 Billion tonnes.

Reporting to the Senior Project Geologist you will be responsible for:

· Overseeing exploration drilling and field geology programs

· Engaging and overseeing drilling and other contractors

· Imparting a work ethic in keeping with efficient and safe standards

· Effective community and landholder liaison

· Ensuring the accurate and efficient collection and interpretation of the project geological data

· Compliance with Statutory and internal reporting requirements

You will possess:

· A positive work ethic with a result focus

· Effective communication skills being able to deal with a variety of stakeholders

· Previous experience in coal exploration

· A tertiary qualification in geology - backed with practical experience
