Our client is seeking an experienced mine geologist to participate and be part of the continuing success of one of it‘s underground coal operations - a modern underground operation, producing high quality export coking coal from two longwall’s. 
 
Residentially based, the mine is supported by its local community, which offers an exceptional standard of living. Housing assistance is provided. 
 
Working within the technical services department and reporting to the Technical Services Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to provide technical support to the operational departments of the mine to ensure safe performance is at the highest level.
 
In addition you will be responsible for the effective and consistent coal quality analysis and forecasting, development of Hazard Management Plans and permits to mine, audits/mapping of mined areas as well as the identification of geological hazards to ensure ongoing safe operations with minimum risk.
 
Essential:
Bachelor of Science – Geology Major 

Desirable:
Underground coal mining experience
