Reliability Maintenance Training Manager

Job Purpose :

  • To develop, promote and conduct Reliability Maintenance Institute (RMI) training programmes for OEM and end-user customers.
  • To plan and co-ordinate all activities associated with the marketing, business development and delivery of training programmes.
  • To effectively manage business and assume full responsibility for sales and profitability business plan targets.
  • To develop and implement an effective strategic growth plan for RMI business.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience required :

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma, or a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience to demonstrate sufficient knowledge, skills and ability to be an effective training manager.
  • Additional qualifications in the fields of business management and marketing are desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of key industry segments in Southern Africa: Mining, Mineral processing, Materials Handling, Energy, Pulp and Paper, Metals, HPI + Food and Beverage.

Management Responsibility and Authority Levels :

  • Management and budget responsibility for the RMI business unit.
  • Authority to authorise departmental S&A expenditure, purchase orders for outsourced services as per limits of authority.

Key Performance Indicators :

  • Sales versus Budget for Training.
  • Profitability.
  • New business development.
  • Attainment and retention of MERSETA accreditation for RMI training programmes.
  • Retention of BINDT accreditation Vibration Analysis training.
  • Meet service level requirements of customers.
  • Positive feedback from customers regarding training programmes rendered.
  • Conduct as per company "Code of Conduct".
  • Demonstrating the required level of commitment to meet demanding customer requirements.
