Training Co-ordinator - Mining

  • N6 Technical or related ( Essential)
  • Facilitation, Assessor, Moderator, SDF ( Essential)
  • 3-5 years Relevant Experience In Training (Essential/Minimum)(Operations)

  • Assessor ( Essential)
  • Registered Moderator - CertCompMod ( Essential)

BUDGET AND COST CONTROL:

  • Recommends and incorporates cost saving initiatives into budgets and controls expenditure within approved parameters.
  • Keep operating cost within budget parameters.

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Execute responsibilities in a manner that is in accordance to guidelines and service standards associated with training delivery. 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the appropriate 3rd parties (eg learning vendors) to ensure the optimal training delivery.

SAFE AND HEALTHY WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ensure that the training interventions environment comply with the health and safety standards. 
  • Promote health and safety conditions report unsafe practices.

INTERNAL BUSINESS PROCESSES:

  • Analyse, coordinate and plan all training and development needs to ensure optimised schedules and economies of scale for area of responsibility.
  • Develop training material present training courses facilitation of training interventions assessments and competency declaration of learners.
  • Offer support mentoring coaching and guidance to learners and continuously follow up on their progress.
  • Assess current EDT status execute a plan and report progress.
  • Identify all training requirements and schedule courses and book attendees on the appropriate training.
  • Request print and analyse reports as required and submit to the relevant governance forums.
  • Co-ordinate learners' on the job training.
  • Update bursary management information as and when required based on training completed.
  • Filing documentation for audit purposes.

COMPLIANCE, GOVERNANCE AND ASSURANCE:

  • Ensure People Development Items contain in the SLP, WSP/ATR, Mining Charter.
  • Execute the necessary measures to ensure all competence training provided is aligned with NQF, SAQA, MQA standards company policies and procedures as well as relevant legislation.
  • Ensure SHEQ standards are maintained within the training team (Mine ISO 9002 ISO 14001 OHSAS 18000).
  • Align training with National initiatives (eg National Skills Strategy).
