Economist / Senior Economic Researcher

Our company is in partnership with 4 prominent research institutes and has about 300 large organizations as our clients. We conduct research for the Mining Sector. We have been in business for 16 years and employ 10 graduates who are all highly skilled in linking the academic with the corporate world. We are currently in a major expansion phase.

• We need a sharp & experienced economist or economic researcher to assist with our research on the Mining Sector. 
• The successful candidate must have a wide general knowledge of the business and economics environment, and a keen interest in Africa. 
• This exciting opportunity will be ideally suited to a mature, ambitious and dynamic team-player who is looking to grow in a challenging position.
• You will be expected to do research and write, proof read and edit research reports and have the ability to communicate your findings to top level management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A university degree with Economics to Honours year level
• Minimum 10 years combined University and work experience
• At least 5 years of your experience should be research related
• Experience in economic modelling
• Have a good understanding of the economy
• Have a keen interest in the business environment and be a committed reader on business and economic matters
• Have demonstrated leadership ability, team management and organizing skills
• Superb writing skills
• Be at home in a fast moving entrepreneurial environment
