Analytical Sampler

Seeking X2 Analytical Sampler\'s to join the team of a well known mining company in Mpumalanga

Minimum Requirements

THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ARE ESSENTIAL:

  • Grade 12/Standard 10 or equivalent qualification
  • Mathematics as a passed subject at Grade 12 or NQF 4 level
  • Knowledge of operating at least two of the following instruments: AAS, Malvern Mastersizer, Leco, XRF, CP-OES
  • Computer Literacy at skilled level
  • Valid driver’s license

THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS OR OPTIONAL:

  • Previous working experience in plant/production laboratory

ALTHOUGH NOT LIMITED TO, THE INCUMBENT’S MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Sample control:
  • Ensure relevant and appropriate amount of sampling equipment is available. 
  • Collecting samples from the plants ( CWP,PCMZ and MMZ). 
  • Prepare, filter, dry, quarter, cone, mill and crush the sample. 
  • Label and identify the sample. 
  • Register samples on Laboratory. 
  • Information Management System (LIMS). 
  • Calculations on moisture content. 
  • Preparation of shipment samples Nickel and Chrome. 
  • Preparation of Geological samples
SHERQ:
  • Comply with all safety, health and quality legislation (MHSA, OHSA). 
  • Perform the necessary testing to ensure samples and related equipment complies with the necessary quality standards. 
  • Keep abreast with latest developments or technological advancements
