Job Description:
- [Company] is looking for a skilled Haz Field Technician to join their team. This is a 6 month contract opportunity and a great way to get your foot in the door with a great Environmental company! Below are the job requirements and responsibilities:
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- 4 year degree required
- OSHA 40 Hour Cert
- Handle (load and unload) empty lightweight shipping containers and packaging supplies.
- Inventory and segregate small containers (glass jars, cans, bags, etc.) of expired, off-specification, unused laboratory chemicals.
- Safely package chemicals into appropriate shipping containers according to segregation practices.
- Properly complete shipping documents including applying markers/labels according to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) laws and regulations.
- Assist (using pallet jacks, drum carts and fork trucks) and supervise loading of properly labeled containers into licensed transportation vehicles.
