Job Description

• Position is responsible for servicing all plant equipment and conducts helper work in the area of plant maintenance

Required Skills

• Must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment, exposed various climate conditions, some noise perform work in confined spaces and dust.
• Must be able to wear all required personal protection equipment for the task, including, but not exclusive of safety glasses, respiratory protection, safety belts, gloves, and etc.
• Involves frequent walking, standing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, bending and balancing.
• Must be able to perform heavy work and heavy lifting with frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Self-starter
• Good communication skills
• Be able to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of aggregate crushing equipment, repair and maintenance background is preferred

General Responsibilities:

• Reviews lubrication reports and service records and under close supervision performs oil, lube and filter service on all assigned equipment as directed.
• Provides assurance in equipment inspections and identifies conditions (wear, alignment, function, etc.) and monitors performance as directed
• Reports plant and/or equipment conditions to appropriate personnel as required. Assists plant and/or shop personnel with repair and maintenance
• Performs duties safely, responsibly and proficiently
• Performs as a helper as instructed by Maintenance – Fixed/Repairman III, IV
• Maintains good housekeeping practices in plant, tool and parts storage areas
